When in need of an elegant modern interior with a colorful, eclectic twist, Lauren M. Levine Interiors knows how to deliver. This firm serves the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area and Delmarva beaches with full-service interior design. Lauren, the founder and principal designer, loves to deliver interiors that are a true expression of her client’s personality rather than an impersonal, cookie-cutter space. Her goal is for a client to ultimately say, "I can't believe this is MY house, and I get to LIVE here!"
She achieved this exact pursuit in the redesign of this vast loft. After speaking with her client, the vision for this large space was bold and quirky with a nod to the building’s industrial origins. With 14-foot ceilings, exposed ductwork, and the original concrete beams from the 1923 grain silo that was once housed there, the space posed a challenge with lots of opportunities for fun design.
In the main living space, Lauren and her team mixed classic mid-century icons with colorful, modern furnishings. Nelson Bubble Lamps, a Saarinen Tulip table, and a Bertoia Diamond Chair were balanced with items like a stunning teal American Leather Luxe sofa and a captivating magenta Strut dining table by Blu Dot.
The ambience shifts from high-energy to calm and peaceful when one steps inside the bedroom. This space was Lauren’s favorite to design: “I love how the sleek and classic modern lines of the bed, dresser, and chair complement the peaceful color scheme rather than overpower it. It's all very soft and pretty while still having an industrial feel.” This loft was transformed into a one of a kind space that perfectly suited its owner, and Lauren M. Levine Interiors executed everything to perfection.
