Jenni Pruett is the talented interior designer behind the full-service firm Pruett & CO. She has been a designer in the Denver Metro and Vail Valley area for over twenty years, opening her eponymous firm in 2021. “I lean modern but am very client-centric,” Jenni told us. “My goal is to capture the personality of the client in their home and curate pieces from many styles to create something unique that reflects them, as well as push them a little out of their comfort zone.”
Early in life, Jenni was an artist at an events company, a job which inspired her to pursue a career as a set designer in the movie industry. Following this path, she enrolled in the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design to earn her BFA in Interior Design, but during her educational journey she found herself falling deeper in love with residential design than with movie sets. Since graduating in 2001, Jenni has worked as an interior designer at many notable firms in the Denver area, gaining experience and a seasoned eye for interior design.
Beginning her own interior design firm was a surprise to even Jenni herself. Her first business endeavor was partnering with another interior designer; the venture didn’t work out, but it paved the road for Pruett & CO. to emerge. “I didn’t want to abandon my clients, so I had to seriously hustle and start up my own separate firm whilst working on about fifteen projects. So began Pruett & Co., and it has just taken off from there!” Due to her training and years of hands-on experience, Jenni is knowledgeable in both the classical and more modern design techniques of the day, allowing her to create curated spaces perfectly suited to her clients’ individual tastes. “I try very hard to steer my clients away from ubiquitous trends, as they are the one surefire way to date a project. Something unique and beautiful will be timeless.”
Jenni confidently leads her talented team in the collaborative and honorable effort of actualizing their clients’ dreams: “Being someone’s designer is a trusted position. We are in their homes, meet their children and pets, ask them a lot of intimate questions to discover how they live, and are often directing how they spend their largest financial undertaking. I don’t take that lightly and am always honored to earn that trust and enjoy the relationships that form—it’s the most rewarding part of my job.” Pruett & CO. is dedicated to their clients and passionate about the art of design, which results in beautiful spaces everywhere they go.
